School Days Good Old Golden Rule Days?

We have completed our second week of school. (Catching.... Breathe) So... I have been reminded why I carried a notebook with me in the years past. I have had so many laughs.Sam is the subject of a couple.
The first one is that I received a coupon from him. Sam gave me slip of paper. I looked and it read "NO BRAK." I asked him what it meant. He says, "Look. If I give you this coupon it means that you need to give me a break. It means that you can't bother me."
The second one is Sam was having a melt-down with his Math. All the corrections were too much. As I was helping him with his corrections he raised his flag. I said, "Sam, what are you doing?" He looked me in the eye and says with all seriousness, "This is going to take more than one teacher."
So this week,I was making the rounds, listening to kids say their verse. The verse was Proverbs 10:9. It reads, "The good man has firm footing; but a crook will slip and fall." Now it's Sam's turn to say his verse... He takes a deep breath and says, "There was a crippled man who slipped and fell. ~Proverbs 10:9." YES. My tongue does hurt. Yes. I did pray as I said, "Sam, I think you'd better study a little bit more. And Yes, God answered my prayer because I didn't even crack a smile.
One boy was picking a spelling word to fit in the blank. The question was, "What does the woman bring into the marriage?" The words to choose from were throng, dowry, and some more . The boy didn't know what word to choose. He was looking through these words and then says, "Thong?" The teacher had to explain that the word was actually T-H-R-O-N-G; and then explain the definition of dowry.
I am so glad to have this weekend to have "off." Hopefully I can post some pictures of our adventures. My poor camera is sadly lacking.
